Evaluation & Assessment

The relationship between you and your trainer is an important one:  you must be comfortable with your trainer and his philosophies.  The evaluation provides time to establish that relationship, assess your goals and needs, and establish clear expectations.  This is the first step to improving your relationship with your dog.

Pricing:  $150.00 for a one to two hour consult

Basic Obedience (In-home, private training)

This series of lessons is designed to teach both you and your dog the foundation of obedience training.  The lessons focus on teaching you and your family members to take the role of pack leader, which will help your dog fill the role of the follower in the pack.  This is an essential step in training your dog to work for you.  The lessons include teaching your dog to heel and sit automatically when you stop walking; sit, down, and stay from various positions; recall (the ‘come’ command); as well as hand signals and other basic commands.  We also teach you about your dog’s personality and breed tendencies, how to customize the training process for your dog, and the keys to effective training.

Pricing:  $750.00 for 6 one hour sessions

Behavioral Problem Solving

Employing motivation, praise, and correction training techniques, we will provide solutions for unwanted behavioral problems.  Through an understanding of inherited and environmental causes, we will work to develop creative solutions for aggressive behavior, nuisance barking, chewing, house training, and other common (or uncommon) issues.

We will work with all breeds and all behavior problems.

Pricing:  $150.00/hour

Ottawa Availability

Appointments are available evenings and weekends in the City of Ottawa and surrounding area.  Special arrangements may be available outside these hours by appointment.  An additional travel charge may apply based on mileage and travel time.  Please request a quote if you live outside the city of Ottawa.
