Evaluation & Assessment

The relationship between you and your trainer is an important one:  you must be comfortable with your trainer and his philosophies.  The evaluation provides time to establish that relationship, assess your goals and needs, and establish clear expectations.  This is the first step to improving your relationship with your dog.

Pricing:  $200.00 for a one to two hour evaluation

Puppy Selection & Obedience (In-home, private training)

We also offer assistance in selecting the right puppy (or rescue dog) for you.  This includes everything from an assessment of the breed, sex, and temperament that are the best fit for you, to helping you find a reputable and reliable breeder, to basic obedience training.  This service will best match your new puppy or dog to your family’s lifestyle and lead to a more fulfilling relationship throughout your dog’s life.

Pricing:  determined by the time invested (which will vary from client to client) and will be discussed during the initial evaluation

Basic Obedience (In-home, private training)

This series of lessons is designed to teach both you and your dog the foundation of obedience training.  The lessons focus on teaching you and your family members to take the role of pack leader, which will help your dog fill the role of the follower in the pack.  This is an essential step in training your dog to work for you.  The lessons include teaching your dog to heel and sit automatically when you stop walking; sit, down, and stay from various positions; recall (the ‘come’ command); as well as hand signals and other basic commands.  We also teach you about your dog’s personality and breed tendencies, how to customize the training process for your dog, and the keys to effective training.

Pricing:  $1000.00 for 6 one hour sessions

Advanced Obedience (In-home, private training)

Once your dog has mastered basic obedience, the advanced series will give your dog the necessary skills to work off lead.  We start working with long lines, body ties, and other equipment to improve control in a safe way.  We then progress to off-lead work, building on the skills your dog learned in basic obedience.  When you have finished this course, you will be able to take your dog with you wherever you go, with the confidence that he will remain under your control.

Pricing:  $1000.00 for 6 one hour sessions

Behavioral Problem Solving

Employing motivation, praise, and correction training techniques, we will provide solutions for unwanted behavioral problems.  Through an understanding of inherited and environmental causes, we will work to develop creative solutions for aggressive behavior, nuisance barking, chewing, house training, and other common (or uncommon) issues.

We will work with all breeds and all behavior problems.

Pricing:  $200.00/hour

Walk and Train

If you are short on time, have a high energy or problem dog, and you would like dedicated training from a Certified Master Trainer, this service is for you.  We will come to your home to walk and train your dog for you.

As with all of K911's services, the Walk and Train is tailored to your needs.  The amount of time spent, the behaviours trained, and time of day are all flexible to ensure you and your dog get the most out of each session.  For all new clients, we will begin with a quick evaluation to develop a plan and review your specific needs.

Pricing:  $50.00-$100.00/hour (pricing will vary individually based on the type of training requested and travel time)

Multi-session packages are available as well, pricing to be determined after the initial consultation.

Security & Protection Training

If you are considering getting a new dog or training an existing dog for personal protection, we can provide the training you need.  We train bluff dogs (dog will bark/alert to a threat) and personal protection (bite and hold on a six foot leash).  The consultation is an important first step to determine your security and protection needs.

Pricing:  $240.00/hour

Edmonton Availability

Appointments are available Tuesday through Saturday 9 AM to 8 PM in the city of Edmonton and surrounding area.  Special arrangements may be available outside these hours if necessary.  An additional travel charge may apply based on mileage and travel time.  Please request a quote if you live outside the city of Edmonton.
